BUSH ON 'PASSION': "IT IS AS IT WERE"

After getting an early glimpse of Mel Gibson's movie "The Passion Of The Christ", President Bush issued a wholehearted endorsement proclaiming "It Is As It Were". Presidential aides quickly scrambled to correct
the President's grammar explaining that like the Pope, he meant "It Is As It Was". When asked if the President had any other comments, aides admitted that the Preident felt that 'the ending could've been better'.
