NADER CHOOSES SELF AS VP CANDIDATE
On the heels of his announcement that he would run for President as an independent, Ralph Nader has selected his Vice-Presidential running mate -- Ralph Nader. While Mr. Nader acknowledged that the decision to choose himself was somewhat irregular, he declared that it was important to offer the voters an alternative candidate for Vice-President, and not just President. In a even more unusual move, Mr. Nader announced that he would also declare a second candidacy and run against himself in an 'independent' primary so as to give voters an alternative to himself. It remains unclear as to who will fill the VP slot on Nader's second slate, but political analysts are speculating that the 'alternative' VP slot could, in fact, be filled by Nader himself.
