BUSH RELEASES NEW WAR PLAN TO COMBAT HIGH OIL PRICES
President Bush unveiled a new administration plan to combat looming high oil prices -- by sending in US Marines and Paratroopers to invade Saudi Arabia, Iran, and various Gulf Arab states and take control
of their oil fields. The plan, tentavily titled Operation Exxon Freedom, is an attempt by the President to head off what might become one more troublesome economic issue during the presidential campaign. While Defense Department officials remained silent on the specifics, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld remarked "It's not that big a deal. Our troops should be back home in about two weeks."
