CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL USES P2P NETWORK -- PROSECUTOR-TO-PROSECUTOR
California Attorney General Bill Lockyer says he is fully in favor of P2P networks, but only the "Prosecutor-To-Prosecutor" kind. The other more 'traditional' P2P Network -- Peer-to-Peer, however, is a "dangerous product". At least that's how the Attorney-General desribed it in a draft letter circulated to fellow state attorney generals in what may amount to a preparation for legislative assault on peer-to-peer file
sharing. However, according to the Microsoft Word file's metadata, the draft letter was in fact last edited, if not authored, by Motion Picture Association of America Senior Vice President for State Legislative Affairs Van Stevenson, raising the question of whether California Attorney General Bill Lockyer himself was not, indeed, a "dangerous product".
