FRENCH AT CANNES: MICHAEL MOORE BEST CLOWN SINCE JERRY LEWIS
As promised, director Michael Moore lit a powder keg yesterday at the Cannes Film Festival. His documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" drew an enthusiastic standing ovation punctuated by cries of "Bravo". Many French now think that Moore has inherited the crown of 'greatest American clown' from long-time favorite Jerry Lewis. While the movie has no distributor yet, Moore hopes to get it into theaters before the US election. Moore is considered a leading contender for this year's Palm D'Bore.
