GAY IRAQI PRISONERS SAY TREATMENT NOT SO BAD

As hundreds of Iraqis gathered outside the Us-run jail at Abu Ghraib in an angry demonstration against the mistreatment of prisoners, a small group of actual inmates -- the gay Iraqi prisoner population -- offerred
a somewhat alternative view of their treatment at the hands of American guards, calling it unusual but at times 'stimulating'. Asked about the images of naked male iraqis forced to adopt humiliating positions simulating sexual activity, the group felt the exercise was simply an innocent way for all involved, both American and Iraqi, to break the ice. "If this is freedom," said one of the group, "We want more".
