CHENEY SAYS USE OF F-WORD A 'WARDROBE MALFUNCTION'

Vice President Dick Cheney said on Friday that he regretted a bitter exchange with Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy in which the vice president used an obscenity and blamed the 'indecent' incident on a 'wardrobe' malfunction. Cheney, on a campaign swing through the Midwest battleground state of Iowa and Michigan, hurled the "F-word" at Leahy during a conversation between the two on Tuesday, according to congressional aides. Asked later by a Fox News reporter what happened, Cheney explained that his tie had been tied too tight and had caused him to 'lose control'. He went on to say that Senator Leahy was a fine man and an upstanding demagogue.
