CHENEY SPORTING EXPENSIVE SADDAM-AL QAEDA TIE
American Vice-president Dick Cheney insisted on Thursday that toppled Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda were linked, despite an official panel's conclusion to the contrary. In fact, to buttress his argument, the Vice-president has begun wearing an expensive tie with the images of both Saddam and Osama Bin Laden together on it. "There clearly was a relationship between the two of them," he told CNBC television, "and this is one way to demonstrate that". This move comes despite an official September 11 investigation that found no "credible" evidence of an "collaborative relationship." In what may be a related move, Haliburton has begun selling 'Saddam-Al Qaeda' executive ties to the public.
