BUSH CONDEMNS 'SWIFT BOAT VETERINARIANS' AD
President Bush on Monday criticized a commercial that accused John Kerry of inflating his own Vietnam War record, more than a week after the ad stopped running. The President condemned the ad, albeit in his own way, mis-speaking and saying that there was no place in the race for the White House for ads like that of the "Swift Boat Veterinarians For Truth". Aids for the President quickly scrambled following Bush's remarks and explained that the President had indeed meant the 'Swift Boat Veterans For Truth'. Democrats, however, were quick to accuse the President of dodging the issue.
