BUSH CORRECTS HIMSELF: WAR ON ERROR CANNOT BE WON

One day after saying the War on Terror could not be won, President Bush on Tuesday sought to calm a political storm by correcting himself and asserting that he meant the "War On Error" could not be won. In a speech to the American Legion following his controversial statements on the Today show, Bush asserted that the War on Terror would be won. Democratic Presidential challenger John Kerry
quickly accused the President of 'flip-flopping' on the issue, but later retracted that accusation.
